Medical Standard: Eye sight: For the post of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e.without wearing of glasses.
1) The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision for the post of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector .
Selection Procedure : Written Examination, Date of Exam: 27-05-2012
Fee: Fee of Rs 100 payable through CRF Stamp in case of Off-line or SBI Challan or on-line payment through State Bank of India for on-line application. Fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation. The candidates should pay the fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)”only .CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country.Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Post Office in such a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamps partially overflows on the Application Form itself, taking care at the same time that the impression is clear and distinct to facilitate the identification of date and Post Office of issue at any subsequent stage. After getting the Recruitment Fee Stamps cancelled from the Post Office, the candidate must submit their application to the concerned Regional Office/Sub Regional Offices of the Commission in the usual manner after completing other formalities. Applications with CRFS not cancelled by the post office will be rejected outright. On-line applications: The candidates submitting their applications on-line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of challan or net-banking .(iii) Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee, as per rules/instructions of DOPT.
The application must be submitted only in the prescribed format on – line or on paper/off-line. The Facility of On-Line Application Will Be Available Upto 14-03-2012 (5:00 PM) For Part-I Registration And For Part-II Registration Upto 16-03-2012 (5.00 P.M.).

a) A candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognised University. (b) A candidate who has appeared at an examination, the passing of which would render him eligible to appear at the examination but has not been informed of the result, may apply for admission to the examination. A candidate who intends to appear in such qualifying examination, may also apply provided the qualifying examination is completed before the commencement of this examination. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination, if otherwise eligible, but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation if they do not produce proof of having passed the examination in any case not later than two months after the commencement of (Main) written examination, failing which their candidature shall automatically stand cancelled. (c) Candidates who have passed the final professional M.B.B.S. or any other Medical Examination equivalent thereto but have not completed their internship by the time of submission of their application for the HAS etc. examination will be provisionally admitted to the examination provided they submit along with their applications a copy of certificate from the University / Institutions that they had passed the requisite final professional medical examination. In such cases, the candidates will be required to produce, at the time of their interview, original degree or a certificate from the concerned competent authority of the University / Institutions that they had completed or requirement (including completion of internship) for the award of degree.
